Janse and Jessica have been best friends for a very long time, and their eclectic interests certainly shone through on their wedding day at the Castaway in downtown Portland, Oregon. The bridesmaids were dressed to the nines in classy red dresses. And the Groomsmen were not to be outdone in their Green Scottish kilts complete with leggings and traditional Sporran (the original “man purse,” which is a traditional component of Scottish Highland dress.

Located in Portland’s Pearl District along the Willamette River, Castaway Portland is a beautifully renovated 1929 warehouse. Back in the day, the warehouse was used to produce components for the original Portland Street Cars before it was restored in 2007 and now serves as a popular event venue received top marks in “Oregon Bride” in both 2016 and 2017.
And the neighborhood outside the Castaway adds to the ambiance of this wedding venue. Buildings old and new surround the Castaway, providing endless character and ample opportunities to create beautiful portraits of the Bride and Groom.
Inside, the spacious venue boasts nearly floor to ceiling windows. The large area can be configured to enhance any wedding or wedding reception, and the dance floor is always ready to go!
