Emma and JD’s wedding took place at the the Laurelhurst Club–just across the street from Laurelhurst Park in Portland, Oregon where they first met while playing frisbee. Before their wedding ceremony, Emma and her bridal party got ready at the home of a family friend about a mile from Laurelhurst Park. At the time of their wedding, multiple forest fires were burning in the region. The smoke that was high in the atmosphere created a bright orange warm light as the late afternoon sun moved lower in the sky. This provided a beautiful back light to their portraits in the park.

The wedding ceremony was short and simple and included a tree planting ceremony, which symbolized the love that Tim and Tanna share and how their relationship will continue to grow.
