Sunset High School Senior Charlotte (better known as Charly) is one of four kids in her family. And she’s the third sibling that I have had the privilege of photographing.

Charly wanted something different from her older sister Maddy’s senior portraits. We photographed Maddy in the Columbia River Gorge with waterfalls, moss, and dark stone staircases. Charly felt that this was a bit too dark for her taste. She wanted something brighter and more cheerful. She ultimately decided on Portland Oregon’s Cathedral Park as the perfect setting for her senior pictures.

Charly describes herself as “reserved, thoughtful, sarcastic, and passionate.” She spends her spare time with her family, cooking, practicing yoga, and watching movies. And she has been a vegan for more than 2 years!

She’s also one to buck the norm. Despite her Gen Z standing, she’s a big fan of 1960’s singer/songwriters and 1980’s pop! (I previously had the chance to photography Charly’s younger sister, Abby, who seems to be following in her sister’s footsteps!)

When it comes to clothing, Charly aims for comfortable and originality. She curated deciding on pastel pinks and lighter, bright and airy type tones. They complemented the subdued colors of the St. John’s Bridge at Cathedral Park quite nicely.

In the future, Charly is \looking to reading some Stephen King and taking a road trip to New York
