On the evening of September 21st, my name was etched onto a nondescript paper certificate and in a blur I found myself with a new title: “father.”

But somewhere along the journey that has been these past two months, I realized that I had grown into something so much more; I had become a “dad.”

If you are a parent who is reading this, you understand the profoundness of this distinction. And you also understand why, on this Thanksgiving day, my heart is overwhelmed with love and joy and thanks for this beautiful baby girl.
