I was a band geek in high school, so getting a chance to hang out with John, a real live Tualitan High School football player for a few short hours was a something of a special treat!

And his senior portrait session was a testament to the fact that with a bit of know-how and creativity, a professional photographer can turn any location into a great setting for portraits. We shot most of John’s images at his home in Sherwood, where an acre in his back yard gave us more than enough backgrounds to work with. We made great use of a wood shed, backyard landscaping, and even his neighbor’s driveway (which happened to be owned by his Grandparents).

The result was a successful evening that showed off John’s good looks, football talent, and love of dirt bikes. And with a bit of prompting from Mom even John’s brother decided to get in on the action!
