Elowah falls is a beautiful hidden gem tucked away between large lichen-covered cliffs in Oregon’s Columbia River Gorge. Here, McCord creek tumbles down 289 feet into a large amphitheater and the deep pool below.
The falls are especially stunning in the late winter and spring, but (like just about everything in Oregon) they are gorgeous year round!
I had to scramble off the trail and work my way over the rocks and downstream to capture this image, but seeing the falls from this perspective was definitely worth the effort!
