I was fortunate to capture this beautifully dappled morning light amongst the giant douglas firs and wester red cedars along Eagle Creek in Oregon’s the Mount Hood National Forest.

The “old” Eagle Creek trail (not to be confused with the more popular Eagle Creek in the Columbia River Gorge), is located in the Salmon-Huckleberry Wilderness area and is one of Oregon’s less traveled hiking trails. You’ll find plenty of native mushrooms as the trail gently meanders its way up Eagle Creek.
