For this family, having their portraits taken on the family farm was the obvious location choice. Here’s a look at three of the five generations who have been farming the Baggenstoss property in Sherwood, Oregon since the 1920s. If you haven’t visited the Baggenstoss Farm store recently, it’s sure worth the trip! It’s a pretty awesome place run by a pretty special family.

The Baggenstoss family is particularly fond of their old farm truck. What may look like an ancient relic to some is a treasured piece of family history. And believe it or not the rusty exterior creates a beautiful backdrop for individual headshot portraits and family pictures.
There’s more to the family farm than just a beautiful old rustry truck, however! The property is also home to a red barn that has been weathered by decades of use and Oregon rain! It made for a stunning background for family portraits.
My favorites are the smaller group shots that truly show the individual relationships that these family members have for each other. A father’s joy in his daughters. The bond between two girls and their mom. The pride of two parents looking at their grown children. The strength of two grandparents as they grow old in each other’s arms.
After the traditional family portraits were taken, it was time to explore the farm and have a bit more fun. I was fortunate to have photographed Hailey’s senior portraits, And Hailey know’s that I’m a sucker for great light and beautiful backgrounds! She grabbed her sister Alexa by the hand and we headed off to the strawberry fields just in time for a beautiful golden sunset!
