“Oregon Swallowtail”
$195.00 – $275.00
The Oregon Swallowtail is a butterfly native to Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. And it is one of the first four butterflies that the United States Postal Service placed on a U.S. stamp. Oregon Swallowtail butterflies are found in all regions of the state from the rain forests of the Oregon Coast to the arid deserts inland. This particular butterfly is actually a desert rat. It was photographed on a very warm summer day on a gravel road leading to Leslie Gulch deep in Southeast Oregon’s Owyhee Canyonlands.
