“Punk” was the theme for this set of fashion editorial images that I had the opportunity to photograph on the streets of Southeast Portland. These editorial photographs were made possible with the assistance of stunning Tori Burns and talented professional hair and makeup artist, Sasha Steifel, of Pep-her Makeup Aristry.

I can only take credit for the photography, however, Sasha Steifel brought her own inspiration to this editorial shoot. The styling of the clothing was done in collarboration between the makeup artist and model. And Sasha’s choice of color and attention to detail lead to the bold, beauitiful, grunge and renegade look to these portraits.

The streets of southeast Portland provided the perfect setting for these urban portraits. The Colorful grafiti-covered walls, delapidated parking structures, and concrete loading docks, provided a stark contrast to the beauty portrayed by the model and makeup.

The images also earned space on the pages of Shutter Magazine, a prominent magazine in the professional photography industry.

It was also the recipinet of a special judges award at the annual open print competition of the Oregon Professional Photographer’s Association and also was recognized with a merit at the Professional Photographers of America International Print Competition.
